Soul Restoration Counseling Services, PLLC provides individual, family and couples psycho-therapy sessions to residents of North Carolina. We believe quality mental health should be accessible. We offer several payment options to meet the needs of our clients.
The following insurances are currently accepted:
- NC Medicaid – Healthy Blue, WellCare, Carolina Complete, AmeriHealth, UHC Community Plan, Alliance, Trillium
- Blue Cross Blue Shield plans ( We do not accept Blue Value, Blue Local, Blue Home, POS/EPO plans)
- United HealthCare, Oscar, Optum and UMR plans (not all of our providers are in-network)
- Aetna
- Cigna/Evernorth (not all of our providers are in-network)
- MedCost
We recommend contacting your insurance provider before your first appointment to verify your mental health benefits, including your deductible, copay, coinsurance, and any authorization requirements. If you have additional questions, our office is happy to help verify your benefits and answer any questions about your coverage prior to scheduling services.
Our self-pay option is available for clients who choose not to use insurance, prefer greater privacy, are using out-of-network benefits, or are responsible for paying out of pocket. Below are our standard self-pay rates for services provided by our provisional and fully licensed clinicians.

Couples, Family & Premarital Counseling
Please Note: Couples, family, and premarital counseling services are provided on a self-pay basis and are not billed to insurance. These appointments are typically scheduled for 75-minute sessions, allowing additional time for comprehensive assessment, relationship-focused interventions, and therapeutic skill building that are generally not covered by insurance plans.
Several of our clinicians are trained in Prepare/Enrich, an evidence-based assessment and counseling program used with engaged couples, married couples, and families. This standardized assessment helps identify relationship strengths, growth areas, communication patterns, and provides practical tools to strengthen relationships. When appropriate, your therapist may incorporate the Prepare/Enrich assessment into your counseling process to support treatment goals.
The Prepare/Enrich assessment is included as part of the self-pay assessment fee for couples and premarital counseling services.
Our Sliding Fee Scale is available for eligible individuals and families who may not have adequate mental health coverage or who qualify based on household income. This program allows clients to receive counseling services from one of our licensed clinicians at a reduced rate while maintaining the same quality of care.
Individual Counseling: Eligible session rates range from $65–$85, with initial assessment fees ranging from $75–$95, depending on household income.
Couples & Family Counseling: Eligible couples and family session rates range from $95–$115, with assessment fees ranging from $110–$130, depending on household income.
Eligibility for the Sliding Fee Scale is based on annual household income, and proof of income may be required.
The SoulCare Access Program provides affordable counseling services for individuals who are uninsured, have limited or no mental health benefits through their insurance plan, or are seeking a lower-cost counseling option.
Services are provided by Master’s Level Counseling Interns, most of whom are in the second year of their graduate counseling program and are preparing for graduation. Every intern receives ongoing supervision and training from one of our fully licensed clinicians to ensure clients receive quality, ethical, and compassionate care.

Payment is due at the time services are rendered. A valid credit or debit card is required to be securely kept on file before services begin.
To avoid a late cancellation fee, appointments must be canceled or rescheduled at least 48 hours before the scheduled appointment time. Appointments canceled with less than 48 hours’ notice, or missed without notice, will be charged a $100 cancellation/no-show fee.
